Christopher (Christy) Barry

The death has occurred of Christopher (Christy) Barry – Grange South, Mullingar, Co Westmeath – (peacefully) on February 20th 2026 in the company of his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, his sisters Sr Mary and Noreen, brothers Johnny, Tony and infant Martin, sister-in-law Dympna, and brother-in-law Christy (McNamee).

Christy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, sisters Mona, Anna, Breda and Geraldine, brother Louis, brother-in-law Mick, sisters-in-law Mary and Ann, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, great-grand-nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Monday February 23rd from 4.30 pm to 6 pm with

Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.
Christy’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 24th at 11 am and may be viewed on the live webcam below.
Burial will take place in Ballyglass Cemetery.
House private please.
