Christopher (Christy) BURNS

 

The death has occurred of Christopher (Christy) Burns, Roughan, Sooey, Co. Sligo, March 6th 2026, peacefully in his 92nd year, at Sligo University Hospital, following a brief illness and surrounded by his devoted family.

 

 

Pre-deceased by his wife Mary, his parents Thomas and Ellen, brothers Desmond, Jack and Joseph.

 

Christopher will be sadly missed by his loving sister Mary (John), brother Gerry (Ann) sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday evening, March 8th 2026, from 2p.m. until 6p.m.

House private please at all other times.

 

Removal on Monday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Sooey, to arrive for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon, followed by interment afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sooey.

 

Family flowers only please.
