The death has occurred of Christopher (Christy) Hughes, Essex Grove, Roscommon and formerly Bushfield, Castleplunkett, Castlerea, County Roscommon, 3rd December 2024 peacefully in loving care of his family and the staff in Oakwood Nursing Home, Roscommon.
Predeceased by his parents Martin and Josephine Hughes and his sister Mary Brennan.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers Tom (Roscommon) and William (Galway), his nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Flanagan's Funeral Home, Castleplunkett (F45 HX59) on Friday from 6pm until 7.30pm, followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church, Ballinaheglish.
Requiem Mass at 11:30 am on Saturday in St. Patrick's Church, Ballinaheglish,
followed by burial in Oran cemetery.
Donations if desired to cancer care west.
