Devoted husband, father, grandad, great-grandad and brother
Christy died peacefully on 17th May, 2023, in the wonderful care of all the staff of St. Lucy’s ward, St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, to the inexpressible grief of his beloved wife Sheila, daughters Patricia, Denise and Siobhán, sons Mark and Christopher, sons-in-law Eamon, Philip and Gerard, daughters-in-law Catherine and Sharon, grandchildren Audrey, Eoghan, Barry, Leigh , Wayne, Paul, Ciara, Mark, Keith, Tom, Rob, Eimear, Stephen and Jamie, great-grandchildren Ellie, Ryan, Chloe, Casey, Keelan, Connor, Noah, Sam, Emmi, Amelia, Jake, Ollie, Jayden, Ellie, Cory and his little friend Bobbi, sisters June, Marie and Una, brother Patrick, sisters-in-law May Lyons, Dolores O’Neill, Ellen O’Neill, Lally Moloney and Ann Shortt, brothers-in-law Peter Crinnion, Terry Mangan and Shay Shortt, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by his mother May, father Patrick, brother Anthony, sister-in-law Kathleen Kelly and brothers-in-law John Lyons, Dermot Moloney and Don Kelly.
The family wish to give special thanks to all in Bray Family Practice, Ultan and the staff in Quinn’s Pharmacy, Cathy and Mark for the care given to Christy and a very special thanks to Mark jnr. and Ernie for all the support laughs and lifts.
Removal from Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Saturday (20th May) at 9.30am to St. Peter’s Church, Little Bray arriving for a Funeral Mass at 10.00am followed afterwards by cremation in Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W at 12.45pm. The Mass may also be viewed online at churchservices.tv/braystpeters and the committal at mountjerome.ie. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Wicklow Hospice.
