Christy Walsh

Walsh (Kilbrogan Street, Bandon) on March 2nd 2026, peacefully in Cork University Hospital after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. Christy (ex Eircom and BHOC), beloved husband of Ann (nee Lynch) and adored father of Melissa, Charlene, Darren and Killian.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, family, grandchildren Éabha, Darragh, Ronan and Eoghan, brother Jimmy, son-in-law Paudie Sleator, daughter-in-law Sharon Murphy, Killian's partner Ahmet, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Christy will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Bandon (eircode P72WE20) on Thursday from 5pm followed by Prayers at 7pm. Due to the road works in the centre of Bandon town, access to the Funeral Home is advised via Chapel Street or Riverview Shopping Centre.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Bandon which will be livestreamed on www.bandonparish.ie/live/, after which Christy will be laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery.
