Cian Mahony of Killickabawn, Delgany, Co. Wicklow and Derek Burton 4 x 4. May 19th 2024, peacefully at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, with his loving wife by his side, after an illness which he fought with tremendous courage. Remembered with love by his adored family, wife Karen (née O’Neill) children Millie, Henry and George, his dad Tony, his late mother Ellen (Lala), sister Emma, parents-in-law Joan O’Neill and Jack Murphy, Aidan and Alicia O’Neill, nieces and nephews Sarah, Kevin, Hannah and Finn, sister-in-law Irene, brother-in-law Paul, his many wonderful colleagues and wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his home on Wednesday evening (May 22nd 2024) from 4pm until 8pm (parking available at the rear of Cian’s home with a one-way system in place).
Funeral Mass to celebrate Cian’s life on Thursday morning (May 23rd 2024) at 11.30am in St. Patrick’s Church Kilquade, after which Cian will be laid to rest with Henry in Priest Newtown Cemetery, Kilquade.
Please wear colourful odd socks in Cian’s memory, as this is what Cian would want.
The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of both the Cara and Hazel wards in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.
