Ciara Phelan
(née McDonald)

Clontarf, Dublin / Goatstown, Dublin

PHELAN Ciara (nee McDonald) (Clontarf, Dublin 3 and formerly of Goatstown, Dublin 14) – 16th April, 2022, (peacefully), surrounded by those she loved and who loved her, in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Vincent’s Ward at the Mater Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend of Shay and adoring mother of Michael, Clodagh & Ríona. She will be sadly missed by her husband, son and daughters, her father Brendan (McDonald), her sisters Niamh, Aedín, and Dara and her brother Brendan, nieces and nephews, in-laws, the extended Phelan and McDonald families, her four-legged friend Juno, her friends and all who knew and loved her.

Ciara’s Funeral Mass will take place in St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf, on Wednesday (20th April) at 10 o’clock and will be followed by a private cremation. For those who wish to view the Funeral Mass online, they can do so at the following link:-

The family would like to thank Dr. Austin Duffy and the fantastic team of doctors and nurses at the Mater Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Ciara and them during her illness and in particular the staff of St. Vincent’s Ward where she spent her final days.

Those attending the Funeral are asked to wear bright colours to celebrate the light and colour that Ciara brought to all those fortunate enough to know her.
