CIONNAITH, fear céile muirneach Nina Ní hEachthairn, an mac ba shine do Mháire agus do Dhónal, nach maireann, “Sunview House”, An Gallán, Cloch na gCoillte, deartháir dílis do Declan, Sandra, Leonard, Terence agus Gilbert. Crothnóidh Gráinne, Liam, Nina-Cáit, Kathryn agus a gclanna go brónach é, a nianna agus neachtanna in Éirinn agus ’san Astráil, deartháireacha agus deirfiúracha céile, gaolta, cáirde maithe, comharsana agus a pheata muirneach Leah.

 

Ó SÚILLEABHÁIN (“An Tobairín”, Desert, Clonakilty) Secretary of Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin and former mayor of UDC and Clonakilty Mayoral Council: on July 13th 2025, surrounded by his loving family, peacefully at home. CIONNAITH, beloved husband of Nina Ahern, eldest son of Mary and the late Dónal O’Sullivan, “Sunview House”, Gullane, Clonakilty, dear brother of Declan, Sandra, Leonard, Terence and Gilbert. Sadly missed by Gráinne, Liam, Nina-Cáit, Kathryn and families, his nieces and nephews in both Ireland and Australia, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, good friends, neighbours and his beloved pet Leah.

 

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5pm to 8pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. Funeral afterwards to Darrara Cemetery.

 

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Cancer Connect.

Cionnaith’s Funeral Cortege will leave his residence, Desert at 10.15am on Friday, July 18th 2025, proceeding via Gullane, Convent Hill, Strand Road, Pearse Street and onwards to the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

 

 

Enormous gratitude to Professor Derek Power, who went beyond the call of duty for Cionnaith, the Palliative Care Team from Bantry and Marymount, Cancer Connect and all at Clonakilty Medical Centre.
