Claire Fortune
(née Tighe)
Fortune (née Tighe) Claire (Blackrock, Co. Dublin, formerly Sandymount, Dublin 4) 4th February 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her family in the kind care of St. Vincent’s University Hospital and previously in the wonderful care of the staff in the Holy Family Residence, Roebuck. Beloved wife of the late Jack and loving mother of Gerald, Jackie, Johnny, Sandra and Jane.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law Sean, Ciaran and Damian, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Laura and Annette. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, John, Anna, Kate, Keith, Tristan, Nicole, Emma, Beth, Alex, Darragh, Ciara, Cian, Lucy and Zoe. Also deeply missed by her seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Rest in peace.
Claire will be reposing on Monday evening, 9th February from 5pm to 7pm in Carnegies Fanagans Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94XK28. Funeral Mass on Tuesday 10th February at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
