Claire Spillane
(née Burke)
On April 13th, 2026, peacefully after an illness bravely borne surrounded by her family, in the care of the staff at Bons Secours Hospital. CLAIRE beloved wife of Jerry, much loved mother of Anthony and Dermot, dear sister of Noreen, Kathleen, Mary, Siobhan, Eileen, Tony, Ann, Johnny, Paddy, the late Brendan and Joe Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, daughter-in-law Niamh and Dermot’s fiancée Hannah, Aunt Nora, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended Burke and Spillane families, relatives, kind neighbours and wide circle of friends.
May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, on Thursday April 16th from 6pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday April 17th, at 12 noon at St. Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cork ARC Cancer Support House, Bantry (to donate click here).
