O’DONOVAN, (Newcestown) on February 28th 2026, peacefully, in the warm embrace of his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork. Con, beloved husband of the late Mary (née Feeney) and dearly loved Dad of Sinéad, Brian, Ross, Eoin and Conor.

 

Con will be deeply missed by his heartbroken children; his adored grandchildren, Joshua, Cora, Aidan, Jennifer, Danny, Saoirse, Benas and Adelė; his daughters-in-law Eilish and Inga; his brothers Jer and Chris; his sisters Mary, Peggy, Teresa, Gerty and Phil; his extended family, neighbours, community and a wide circle of lifelong friends. Con is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret, his sisters Ena and Josephine and brothers Martin, Mick and Paddy.

Con will be lying in repose at O’Mahony’s Funeral Home, Enniskeane P47 EV24, on Tuesday, March 3rd from 5:30 p.m. followed by prayers at 8:00 p.m.

 

Con’s Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday March 4th at 12:30 p.m. in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Newcestown, (P72 P403) which will be livestreamed on the Murragh and Templemartin Parish Facebook page, followed by funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.

 

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Iris House Cork Cancer Support if desired.
