Ah, Carrie and Matthew, we are so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Pat. I will always remember his enthusiasm for life and his constant good humour, the fun of having a chat with him and his sunny smile. How he glowed with pride, as he loaded or unloaded his adored grandchildren in and out of the car, was a sight to behold. Latterly, George was delighted to meet him on his morning rambles when he was home from New York. We were all shocked to hear that Pat had died. May he rest in peace. Sending sincerest sympathy to you both, to Clare, Gearóid, Rían and Teidí, and to your extended family.

Carrie and family so sorry to hear about Pat. He often spoke about you all. He truly was a family man but also showed great kindness to everyone he met. RIP Pat you will always be remembered.

He was a hero in Erinville and CUMH and loved by everyone .He had an infectious personality and was the window of CUMH with the waft of aftershave and trendy shirts and a greeting for every woman that came through the doors .He kept us going through many a long night if we passed through reception He had a word and joke for every member of staff .And how he loved all of ye Carrie ,Matthew ,Clare Jackie and Tracey he always mentioned ye we felt as if we knew ye all .It 's hard to believe he s gone from this world but I bet he s up there meeting plenty in Heaven and telling them stories too .We all miss you Pat rest gently our lovely friend

Sincere condolences to Pat's family. I didn't know him well but - for 5 years - I would meet him on the corner nearly every single morning, rain or shine, as I left my house for work. He would be coming back from his walk. We'd stop, share a joke and a laugh and go on about our day. Beautiful.
