It was a shock to hear of the sudden demise of Liam Óg. Sincere condolences to Mary and all of the O'Reilly family on their great loss. What a lovely photo to remember him by. Go ndéanfaí Dia trócaire ar a anam agus Rath Dé oraibh uile.

I have the fondest memories of sharing a stage with Liam in the old Everyman and later at The Cork Theatre Co. I always walked away from meeting Liam with a spring in my step and a smile on my face. My sincere sympathies to his family.

To my Aunt Mary and all my cousins, my deepest sympathies. I am so sorry for your loss and I'm so sorry I can't be there to say goodbye to my uncle Liam Óg. Liam Óg was so kind to me when I visited Cork and was always full of life and laughter. He always made me feel so welcome when I saw him. I can't believe he is gone.

A gentleman who I had the pleasure of working with. Enjoyed being in his company on many geat social nights with other mutual friends.

Mary, Eoghan, Méabh, Mary-Kate, Ann, Emily, and my dear friend, Isobel. My thoughts and hopes are zooming across the world to you. Listening to Isobel's many wonderful stories about her dad over the years, it was so obvious how much love and devotion Liam had for you and how passionate he was about living. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann. Despite being so far away, I was grateful to be able to watch the funeral live... sitting in bed with my laptop, at 1am, headphones and all, my partner having fallen asleep beside me... I reckon Liam would have appreciated the humour in that scene. It was heartwarming to watch you all bring to life Liam's enigmatic personality through poems, song, and eloquent writing. Ann and Isobel, the eulogy was incredibly fitting and beautifully delivered ❤️ Codladh sámh, a Liam.

I followed the funeral mass on the webcam this morning and was with you all in spirit. The readings, poems, and music were beautiful. And to your beautiful daughter who spoke slowly and projected her voice , Liam would have been so proud of you,,

The last time we met he and Eoghan were sitting down in the front room on a sunny morning over the summer, getting ready to transcribe his latest article. Spirits were high and the ideas were starting to flow so I left them get to work; it was a special moment to remember.

Liam was a lovely kind-hearted man, who will be missed by so many people, but most especially by his family, whose loss is immeasurable.

Very sorry to hear of Liam's passing. I cannot claim to have been a close friend but got to know him many years ago while doing some plays for Cork Theatre Company in the old Ivernia. Somehow, ever since then, whenever we chanced to meet, he always had a friendly word and something in his personality always made the day seem brighter and more cheerful than it had been. My condolences to all the family and friends.
