I knew Katie back in the late ‘80s in Newbridge, through musicals and drama. Katie was a lovely, warm, fun, spirited lady,, with tons of personality. I remember her looking absolutely beautiful at Angie Cox’s fruit, veg and flower fancy dress party in Milltown, dressed as a bouquet of flowers. Katie also helped me out by disguising herself as a fortune teller and arrived with crystal ball at the school fete! She was just great! My memory of Katie is of a kind, obliging lady who did nothing by halves. Not someone who’s easily forgotten. Sincere sympathy to you all and may Katie’s kind and generous soul rest in peace.

Many years ago in Newbridge, Kathleen spoke to my mom & heard she needed a couch.She gave us one of her own. A beautiful pink one . We were so chuffed and felt so posh but I just was in total awe of how kind & beautiful she was. She even arranged to have it delivered to our door. A lovely act of kindness from a beautiful person inside & out. May your family find strength and peace and may your mom rest in peace .
