I have fond memories of Parish Pilgrimages to Lourdes, Madeline, always full of fun, her simle, laughter and positive outlook, she was a light in the world, may she now enjoy the perpetual light of heaven.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Madeline’s passing. I have the fondest memories of first meeting Madeline, Joe, and Geraldine in 1977 during my first of many visits to the Port. She was always a joy to converse with and showed kindness to my family members. Madeline was compassionate and genuinely cared for others, always willing to lend a helping hand. I first met Madeline 64 years ago when at the age of 16 I first came to Ireland to meet Pat’s parents.
Madeline was warm and welcoming and was just the same when I saw her during our last visit to Portarlington in the summer.This news today was very sad.

Madeline may you rest in peace, to me you were a friend.

Treasured memories of Madeline. We grew up together as next door neighbours and have many happy memories of our younger years.

So sad to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a great neighbour & friend to many on Patrick & Assumpta Terrace. Always so kind & generous.
I especially remember how good she was to us at the time of Mams passing (Peggy Murphy) and we still cannot find cheesecake buns as nice as your Mams.
May her gentle soul be welcomed into Heaven by Our Lady whom she had such devotion for.
Her time is done, may she Rest in Peace now.
