To Finbar and family,
I am so truly sorry to hear about the passing of Helen. She and I travelled to Dublin every month back between 2003 and 2005 when we were training as naturopaths & to say we had fun was an understatement! We met on our first day in UCC where our programme started and sat together every weekend. She was so true to herself & supported me to be the same… When I met Helen I went through the transition of engaged to married and she gave me some wonderful and also hilarious tips. Including how to convince my husband to buy us a campervan just as she’d done at home - I’m laughing now thinking about it. We laughed & chatter & enjoyed our time together so so much. She also made me want to be a mum - her stories about the boys & girls always felt so warm. The girls in particular resonated with me as they were so young at the time & one of her favourite things heading home from Dublin was knowing that they’d be ‘climbing all over me’ when she got home…and how much she loved that. I thought of it often when my two daughters did the same years later & used to think - ahh I get it now! She was an amazing person to know & as I entered the phase of ‘wife’ she actively worked to guide me & enlighten me on what wife & mum meant within the family & I’m so so sorry for you all now who have lost this wonderful woman. I have no doubt she’s 100% with her maker & I know how precious He was to her all those years ago.
With love & a heart full of memories xx
