I will never forget you my good friend Queenie as you never forgot me on my Birthdays and every Christmas in the many many years i have known you. Though it wasn't always easy for you you were always in great spirits and a pleasure to be with, we never ran short of conversation about knitting gardening crosswords bingo and story telling. My kind and thoughtful and fun friend i will miss you as will all your family xx

Queenie we will all miss you so much at the Day Centre. You always looked forward to the bacon and cabbage. You were there for every activity, the bingo, the crosswords and the exercises. You never missed a scoraiocht, both in Kilnamartyra and Ballyvourney, if you could help it. You sang Molly Malone, The Cliffs of Dover, Moon River and many more. You loved going on excursions, and we loved you. Your photo will always be on our wall. Rest in Peace.

What a woman. Strong, independent, a trojan worker, a self-made woman who lived life on her own terms and was always up for a joke and a laugh. Life threw a lot at her but she never lost her sense of humour. Coolavokig was lucky to have her. We'll miss her stories. We could all do worse than try to be a bit more like Queenie. She was an example of how to get the most out of life.
