Condolences on the passing of Ada. She was a wonderful woman, giving so much of herself to the kids in Cobh. RIP Ada, you are with your beloved Bob now.

What a Lady, Neighbour, Scout Leader, Wife and Friend to so many passing souls. Ada, you are a legend unmatched. A beautiful family with doggies and multiple friends and visitors. Never an empty house or a quiet house, always a meal on the stove and the tea ready. Our first neighbour with a phone!!! So glad you have joined Bob now. Your contribution to Cobh youth and in particular scouting is unmatched. Fota was your bedrock and thousands of children enjoyed their camps and hikes and sleepover thanks to you both. Sleep well Ada, Gone Home.

Ada was part of my life for as long as i can remember. She was such a lovely person along with Bob. There was alway a cup of tea and a homemade cake on offer when you called to Ada. I will miss you Ada. My condolences to all the family.

The present and former members of 2nd Cork join to send our condolences to Ada's Family . Ada joined with us for so many years in training Leaders and Youth Members, running events, whatever was on, Ada was always there ,dependable and capable . She has "Gone Home " now to join Bob , but we give thanks for her lifetime of Service.

Our sympathy to all Ada and Bob’s family members. As Scout & Cub leaders we spent many happy weekends with them in Fota and at various district meetings planning so many events. Fly high Ada on your journey home to Bob.

I was so very sad to hear of the passing of Ada a most amazing woman whose legacy and that of her late husband Bob will live on in Cobh for generations to come. As well as her contribution to scouting and guiding she was the most wonderfully talented hockey player and gave her time to coaching us and umpiring matches for so many years at school level. When Cobh Hockey Club was reformed in 1978 she came on board as well taking the group of young school leavers in hand - such a giving person especially with her stories of past times told with her sharp wit. She was one in a million and should never be forgotten. Rest in peace Ada.

I will always remember with gratitude the help she gave me when I was Camp Chief at Fota. Ada looked after the Bookings and was Treasurer at the same time. Ada was the last of a small band of Leaders who obtained and developed the Fota Scout Centre. May she rest in peace and rise in Glory

We will miss you, you will always have a very special place on our hearts.

What an extraordinary legacy Ada has left in the hundreds of children who were part of her Cub Pack and Brownie Pack. Ada, along with her late husband Bob, gave so much to others and especially to young people through their involvement in scouting and guiding. Ada was the oracle and go-to expert and her advice and wisdom, readily imparted, were absolute gems for those of us fortunate enough to have her as a trainer on Cub Scout Leadership training courses. She was an inspiration. Great memories of her at Regional Cub Camps on Fota Island, leading a grand howl, or the fun at a camp fire.

4th Cork Cobh Cubs. (Green and Red). Ada was our leader from the very start where we started our pack in the offices along side the Titanic centre. I have such happy memories being part of that group. Ada was such a lovely and caring person and I am proud to say that I knew her and Bob. May they both rest in peace .

Ada & Bob were a huge driving force at the scout centre in Fota over the years and all their hard work can be seen today as the centre goes from strength to strength due in no small part to their huge efforts here and with the youth. It is with sincere sadness i read of a beautiful soul's passing. Ada was one of lifes legends. Herself and Bob(RIP) were guiding and scouting parents to most of the younger generations of Cobh. Many a special happy memory I have in my heart with time spent with Ada and Bob. From the cheery phone number reply to the landline, to been welcomed into their home for tea and treats. Both my kids have fond memories of Ada and Bob and we often talk about different adventures, my son with sea scouts living summer hols on the harbour with Bob and my daughter of brownies and guiding with Ada, especially camping in Fota cottage.
Ada you were one in a million and will be sadly missed by millions of us whoes lifes you touched.
Fly high and free on your next adventure may you and Bob share eternal peace and rest.
