Adrian Hewson

Adrian was a lovely person and was a well known and much respected person in Roscrea. He gave so much to our town and the community. May he rest in peace.

Adrian will be missed greatly by the Ryan family as he was part of our lives since 1978 & through the happy times & the sad times with us so now reunited with all his loved ones.

I'm so very sorry to learn of Adrian's death. He and i were distantly related, and I got to know him about ten years ago when researching my own family history. He was immensely helpful, hugely informative and generous both with his expertise and time, and I remember with great pleasure expeditions to places of mutual historical interest around Roscrea and Bourney as well as his stories of local personalities and events. Above all, he was a thoroughly kind and decent man whose deep faith infused his entire life, and I am glad to have known him.. My deepest condolences to his cousins and to his very many friends in Roscrea.

In the modern age we live in Adrian was unique, he was so genuinely kind, compassionate, sincere, devout, interested/interesting, highly intelligent, respected, humble, a true gentleman, funny, quick witted, the list goes on. I don't know many people with so many wonderful attributes, but Adrian was right up there. He was so proud of his hertitage and embodied all that is good in humanity. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Rest in gentle peace Adrian, you were a true gentleman to your very fingertips and you will be very greatly missed by all who knew you, even if they only met you once. Adrian definitely left his mark on this world and how lucky were we to have gotten to know him. Adrian had a way with words that very few have - he would have you hanging on every word and you could hear a pin drop in a room where Adrian was talking.
I hope people have recordings of Adrian delivering anecdotes...he had an absolutely endless supply of them. A fabulous human being - deepest condolences to everyone who feels his loss.
