Adrian MANGAN

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Adrian’s untimely death last Tuesday. We had known him since he came to Clondalkin CU [now Tower CU] many years ago. During that time, we got to know him very well. As many others have said he was a gentile giant. He was a gentleman who was a gentle man. His imposing presence was like a rock to those he worked with. The staff looked up to him for leadership and example. He was always ready to help out with any request for assistance. For the younger staff he was a mentor and lead by example.
The most important thing in his life was his family. We regularly spoke of Mary and Jenny and this always brought a smile to his face. While the physical Adrian has left us, he will always be close to Mary and Jenny.
We will miss the big man who was our friend.

To all Adrians family pariculary Mary & Jenny my deepest sympathies on your terrible loss. I first came across Adrian when he came to work in Clondalkin Credit Union. I last spoke to Adrian about 3 weeks before his untimely demise. His 1st thought always was what can I do for you. Service to others was at the core of Adrians being. It came so naturally to him. It was simply an extension of the love he had for his family, his Ma particulary after his Da died, his Wife Mary & their beloved Daughter Jenny. Adrian was the most gentle of gentle giants I ever meet. He always asked for the welfare of my family before I got a chance to ask after his. At some stage our Conversation would get around to the Dubs. When I next watch the Dubs I will think of Adrian. Adrian we will resume our talk in 30 or 40 years time.

To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die.

Sad news to learn of Adrian's passing. He was such a lovely man and we had some good times working together many years ago. He was the first person to volunteer back in April to help deliver groceries & medicine to the vunerable who needed help around the area. He really helped get the ball rolling. A great man for a chat too. We will miss bumping into him in the village.
