Adrian Somerfield

Sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Somerfield - a scientist's scientist - he'll live long in the memory for so many of us fortunate enough to have been taught by him.

Sincerest condolences to Dr Somerfields’ family and friends. I didn’t know your Dad personally but did know of his great contribution to the Irish Scence Teachers Association and remember reading articles he had written in their publications. I just wanted to pay my respects to a science educator who made a great contribution .RIP.

Although I don't know Dr. Somerfield, may I offer my sincere condolences to you all. What a selfless act to continue teaching by donating his remains to science. I have no doubt that he will live on in those that meet his remains and learn.

I remember him extremely fondly and with huge admiration. He was an excellent teacher but also a great role model from a character and academic viewpoint. His scientific brilliance, humanitarianism, egalitarianism, and intellect stand out in my memories. Thank you Dr Somerfield.
