Dearest Ag, Could not bring myself to put down words before, I was already missing, past year or so, our great phone chats, when we went through everyone and how they were. Was devastated to have a 3 year late Day Op., yesterday, but by miracle, got home to Ruth's just in time for your lovely farewell, and such an honour to be mentioned. First day I met your Mam, (1960/61) - Miss Power, as I was Miss Thorpe, in O'Connor & Bergin, 30 Bachelors Walk, where I was thought to put every comma & full stop in place, am still complemented on my 'punctuation' ! Of course, learned much more about living, 'never go to bed without mending an argument' 'don't let Bills build up' 'where to get bargains in/around Thomas St., which Butchers etc.' Thanks so much lovely Ag, for all your kindnesses to myself & Tom whom lovely sweet Raymond used run up to and sit on his lap, every visit, and years greeting myself and girls. She is certainly with lovely Mattie and Raymond now. Tom sent them a lovely letter when we all lost Raymond, which she kept for years, and gave to me just couple years ago. Ag and Mattie were neighbours when we were married first and they were the most caring and helpful neighbours you could ever have. Dear Ag always had a smile on her face and Mattie was never without a paintbrush in his hand. Ag used to say that there wasn't a house on the road that he hadn't painted! Ag & Mattie were devoted to each other and loved their family dearly and we took their example into our own lives. This is so obvious when you see the love and closeness of all their children. Rest in peace dear Ag.

I'm so sorry for the loss of lovely Agnes who was always so kind, welcoming and good to my mum, sister and me. Her chips and eggs were legendary! I told Agnes and Matty (at Mary's wedding) that they were my favorite couple. I would be so lucky to have a love like theirs. I'm so glad they are now together again.
