My sincere condolences to the extended McDermot family on the passing of Aggie. Anytime I met her she was a laugh a minute. I was a next door neighbour to the McDermot family who were such lovely people. Pat John and Agnes the parents and grandparents were wonderful and of course Josie who introduced me to soccer. May Aggie’s souls rest in peace with all her siblings and parents in Heaven.

I will always remember meeting Aggie for the first time. We were two "yanks" at her door looking for Agnus McDermott. Myself and my cousin Abigail, it was 1990. She thought surely, we must be looking for board and was preparing to chase us off. Aggie was quite formidable, all 5 feet of her! I quickly explained to her that her mother and our grandmother were sisters. suddenly, as the cigarette dropped from her mouth, we were not only relatives from the states but instant family! In all of our trips back to Ireland since that day Aggie was always right there with open arms, waiting to say "Welcome home" we missed ye! Our Grandmother or "Nanny" as we called her, Margaret Maloney Plunkett had a beautiful saying that I think is quite fitting for Aggie... "heaven will be your bed". she will forever be in our hearts! We wish to send all of our love and condolences to our Family "back home" in Ireland. We miss ye! The Yanks

I remember visiting Aggie & Ben when they lived in Birmingham. She always made a fuss of my brother & I
Later in Galway, I always looked for Aggie for the craic, she was a great laugh.
So sad now to hear that she has passed but I have some great memories of her.
