Agnes Fennelly

I was lucky to have met Agnes in Lisheen a few years ago. She was my Fathers 1st Cousin. They are together again.

We are sorry to hear that Agnes has passed to her Eternal Reward. A fantastic lady who along with her late husband Jack we got to know in 1973 shortly after we arrived in Kinsale. They had planted the seeds of success which encouraged us and many more to make Kinsale their permanent home. We offer our sincere condolences to Brian , John and Conor along with their extended families,friends and neighbours and also The Minihan families. Our wish now is for Agnes to join her beloved husband Jack and that they both rest in eternal heavenly peace.

Had the great good fortune to work with Jack in Shandon Street Cork and Agnes occasionally joined us on our regular social outings. They were such special, memorable people, together now in Heaven.

So saddened to hear from Joss of Agnes’s passing. She and Jack arrived in Kinsale at the same time as ourselves in 1972 and in fact Jack Fennelly welcomed us in the foyer of Actons Hotel as we arrived to take up my new post as manager there and likewise Jack in his role as manager of the Bank of Ireland and we have such happy memories of great times shared together. We also have lovely memories of our holidays in Lisheen and the many visits to Michael Minehans pub in Lisheen. Our sincere sympathy to all of the Minehane family and so sorry we can’t get over for the funeral.
