Aidan taught me english in my fourth year in millstreet community school,
he was brilliant teacher, fair honest and great fun, every one loved him, then we started leaving cert year in september of 1989 and he had left MCS, we were saddened to hear that he had left, then we had to endure a lunatic of a teacher for the rest of that year- this man was the direct opposite of Aidan.
To his family and friends i want express my deepest condolences.

Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Aidan on their sad loss. I taught with him in the mid 1970s when he spent a period in Christian Brothers College, Cork. He was a man of wide interests whose company was always entertaining. He was also a man of great integrity who followed his own course in life. Ní bheidh a leitheád ann arís.

Deepest sympathy to Aidan’s family and friends, he was an active member of The Cloughaneely Players for many years and it was always a pleasure to act with him and to meet him in Falcarragh. May he Rest in Peace.
My deepest condolenses to you all. Aidan was a joy to be around. He filled his space with wit, mischief, wisdom and gentleness. He inspired me greatly and helped me to grow more confident and secure in who I am. There are many things I will never forget about your wonderful Dad, but one I would like to make note of, is that when he first became a Grandfather, he had business cards made up saying "Aidan Hayes - Grandfather" and handed them out to people on the street. He was so proud. Sending you deep love and strength at this difficult time.
So sorry. Aiden was an absolute gentleman, glad to have met him more than once or twice over the years.
