I am very saddened by the death of Aidan Hoey. Aidan was not only a very fine sportsman, he was also a very fine human being. His decision to donate his body to medical science is additional proof of that. Heartfelt sympathy to Marian, Colin, Graham, Glenda, Robin and the extended family. A number of years back, we beat a highly fancied Ballymena side away in the Irish Senior Cup. In its match report during the following week, the local Ballymena paper stressed that Ballymena would have won was it not for the performance of Aidan Hoey. Go raibh maith agat Aidan agus slan abhaile.
