Aidan MULLIGAN

It was with great sadness that I learned today (22 March) of Aidan's passing. My condolences to his brother, extended family, friends and neighbours.

I first met Aidan and Brídín when I joined Na Fianna club in 1980 to play handball. I have good memories of laughter and friendship over the following years and they were always great company.

Aidan was a true gentleman and he is now reunited with his beloved Brídín.

Rest in peace Aidan.

I am very sorry to hear about Aidan's death. My condolences to all of his family and friends. It was always very easy being in Aidan's company. He was fun, interesting and always a gent. Rest in peace, Aidan.

Thinking of all the Family at this sad time I remember many happy years of handball in Arklow and in Croke Park with both Áidin and Brídín through my parents Mícheál and Ann Barnes Great times with Great People

Condolences to all of Aidans extended family and friend on his sad passing. We have fond memories of himself and Brídín when we were both involved with Galway camogie. He was a gentleman. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

My sincere sympathies to Ben and Aidans many friends and relations. Such a void will be left for many of us cousins who often enjoyed his marvellous company and stories of his holidays with his grandparents and all his relations and friends in Killeagh.

My deepest sympathies go to Aidan’s family and friends on the loss of Aidan. He was always a kind, considerate and generous colleague and his, and Bridin’s contribution to Gaelic games and culture was always appreciated.

Sincere condolences to the family and close friends of Aidan. Brídín is buried beside my dad, Thomas Byrne, and my mother and I had the honor of some chats with Aidan as I think he went to the grave almost daily, a lovely gentleman!

My sincere condolences to the Mulligan family and to Aidan’s many friends. Aidan was a true gentleman, and both he and his late wife Brídín were wonderful handball people who gave so much to the game and to the community around it. They will always be remembered for their kindness, warmth and their great love of handball.

May Aidan now rest in peace alongside Brídín. They will both be fondly remembered.

Aidan really was a courteous and honourable man, a true gentleman. A wonderful neighbour to us. Always asking how our kids were doing. Offering a bit of sage advice when needed. We loved having chats with him especially about the county games. He was a perfect neighbour and he will be sorely missed.

We were saddened to learn of Aidan's passing after a short illness which he had accepted with such grace. A great and lifetime supporter of Camogie & Handball he will now be reunited with Bridin who no doubt will have a welcome party for his arrival. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

Sincerest sympathies to Aidan's family and friends on his passing. It was always such a lovely pleasure to meet him in Croke Park at camogie and other functions. After the passing of the lovely Bridín, whom he has now joined again, it was so delightful to see him continue making the most of life. Like many of us on the journey of illness, he took every day in a positive fashion and fought courageously by staying positive.
Always such a gentle and friendly person, he has now joined those special to him who have gone before him.

I am so sorry to hear of Aidan's death. He was a gentleman. He loved Gaelic Games with a passion. May his gentle soul rest in Peace.

Ringing the doorbell Aidan answered wearing an apron that was followed by a delicious dinner served up to Brídín and myself. The year was 1978. I was transfixed having never before encountered a true partner, a loving husband and a real man.
Aidan taught me so much about life. He was inspirational.
