Áine O'Connor

I was so saddened to hear belatedly of Áine’s passing. She would have helped change the lives of many people in her work over the years and was a very vibrant, humourous and caring person. I first met her in the early 2000’s when we worked in the same organisation and our friendship lasted well beyond that time. She loved to travel and I’d look after her beloved cat Gaia whilst she was away on longer trips. She loved meeting new people in singing, walking and dancing groups amongst others. I could never figure out where she got her energy from. Condolences to her family after this devastating and sudden loss.

Dear Áine, my heartfelt sadness to learn of your untimely passing. I will forever remember and hold dear all that you shared with me, and all that you held for me when I confided in you during a very important and significant time for me. You were a safe and strong sounding board. Your words were always so deeply felt and present. You radiated warmth and no judgement. Your eyes danced and your smile was so genuine and sincere. I am so glad that I found my way to you, for a short but precious time in my life Áine. Thank you for all that you have left with me; your words are never far away. I was very sad to hear the news of Aine passing. I met her in Kildare Hiking & Walking group about 2 years ago. She was a lovely friend and a very vibrant lady, we had many laughs together. I am thinking of her family at this very sad time. May Aine rest in peace all my love Emily.

I knew her when she arrived in Dublin many many years ago, we walked and talked in Wicklow and the beaches of Wexford, she was always engaging & such fun to be around.

A chance encounter again about 6 year's ago allowed us to reconnect, and i could see how she had blossomed into a truly wonderful person.

So saddened to hear of Aine's sudden passing she was such a bright, vivacious, kind hearted person who radiated such postive energy and warmth, it was a pleasure to be in her company. I knew her from our walking club, we had a fun weekend away in Tory Island I remember the laughs we had when she discovered the dripping tap in her hotel room had emptied out the tank and no one could have showers that evening. Dear Aine’s Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss, I knew Aine for the last 10 years through Bio Danza , we had lots of laughs, fun and hugs dancing together. Aine travelled a long distance to attend the afters of our wedding and gave us a beautiful gift of an angel which often reminds me of Aine when I look at it.

Our beloved Aine will be missed by those of us who loved her from across the sea, Although many of us never met Aine in person, we were all struck by her beauty, courage and deep love of God.

I am so saddened and shocked by Aine's death. She was so kind to my Mam and Dad in their latter days. She brought Tom to visit on a couple of occasions, and even visited after Tom's death. I feel at a loss for words. Bridin's words spoke so well of her spirit. Thank you. Our world is a better place because she dwelt in it for a little while. Safe journey Aine.

We had the pleasure of knowing and dancing with Aine for several years and were touched by her grace, wisdom, authenticity and humour. Aine attended one of our Buddhist meetings and said afterwards she felt completely at home. I'm sure wherever Life takes her she is completely at home and will live on in our hearts, nam myoho renge kyo.
