Sincere condolence to the extended ODonoghue family on the sad and sudden passing of Aine. She was a great friend from our days playing golf in Charlesland. Had lunch with her only two weeks ago and she was in her usual good form. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

I remember Áine with great fondness from our secondary school days in Ballymahon, recalling her exceptional ability and the very generous and kind ways she shared her talents with her classmates.
Áine's funeral Mass was uplifting and consoling, a beautiful tribute to a very special lady.

I was, and am, so very sorry and shocked to learn of Áine’s sudden death, as I have no doubt all of her family and friends are. Always first to arrive for meetings of our philosophy club, Áine arrivedwell prepared for our discussion with a clear intention of making her contribution and armed with her notes. As we gathered our belongings at the end of our meeting just last Thursday, she told me she hoped we would soon discuss a topic she wanted to explore: being human. I have no doubt that she would have had a great deal to contribute on that topic, and am sorry I will never hear what she had to say. My sincere deepest to her family, and may Áine rest in peace.

I got to know Aine in the ‘70’s through her great friend Betty Rock. Over the years we took part in various activities together including Golf & Bridge ( another story ) I was fortunate to spend two days with Aine from 10 - 12 July in Rossleague Manor in Connemara. She was in great form & we had the most beautiful weather. We took the boat to Inisbofin, eat delicious food and really enjoyed interesting chats et. Aine I can’t believe we won’t have those chats again. I will treasure the few days we had in Connemara. You were a true & loyal friend. RIP Mary

I had the privilege of knowing Áine through our joint involvement in Balnagowan. I always valued her greatly and can say with certainty that her significant contributions to our community here cannot be overstated.

To be honest, our relationship started on somewhat rocky ground years ago, but over time, I believe it grew into something that I will now significantly miss.

With my deepest condolences to her family, she will be greatly missed by all of us here in Balnagowan.
