My husband Aurelien and I were truly saddened to hear about Alan’s passing.

He was a true gentleman.

Alan was such a kind, warm and generous guy, always friendly, always smiling. Truly a good hearted soul. He was especially thoughtful and supportive of my family when my dad passed away which was deeply appreciated. My sincere condlences to the Barcoe family. I cant be there to say goodbye Alan but you have made so many peoples lives better for knowing you. Rest easy.

Deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Alan's passing and sorry I can't be there in person to pay my respects. Al was a great person and always generous, warm and good natured, I was lucky enough to have called him my friend. It's such a shock to hear of Alans passing. I knew him from our school days where we sat beside each other in a few classes and talked about music a lot - he introduced me to Pixies and many other bands back in 1991. Devastated by Al’s passing, he was always such a steady presence throughout my life. I knew him from long hair to no hair. He was simply the sweetest, most selfless person you could meet; his whole life was devoted to helping others. I’m still trying to process the deep, quiet realisation that I’ll never hear from him again. No more random text messages, no more hikes, no more moments. I’m so glad I caught up with him when I visited Dublin this year.
Sleep well brother, you were loved.
