Marge, I just heard of Alans passing and I was shocked and saddened. It brought back many memories from Digital and Compaq. He was such fun to work with and you were always guaranteed a laugh no matter what you were working on.
He was a legend.
I hope you and the boys get strength from the knowledge of how highly regarded he was.

I was so sad to hear that Alan had passed
. We worked together for many years in Digital and HP. We soldiered together on various courses, but we always had great fun, mainly in finding fine restaurants and fine wines . Every night out was filled with stories and laughs.Next morning was usually spent figuring out how to massage our dinner receipts!!!

I had the privilege of working with Alan in both Digital and HP. After we were both retired, we kept in contact and even managed quite a number of walks up the Dublin mountains and along the south Bull Wall.

I will always remember Alan as a knowledgeable, gentle and very witty man who was always in good humour and always looked on the positive side of any given situation. He was great company and will be sadly missed.
