So sad to hear of Alan’s passing

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Alan. I went to school with Alan, we sat beside each other and always had a great laugh. He was also a great footballer, playing and knowledgeable. I'm very sorry to hear he has passed. RIP Al.

Condolences to all Alan's family. So sorry to hear about his death. Got to know him a couple of years ago, he was so full of knowledge. May he rest in perfect peace.

I'm glad I got to see Alan, if only briefly, when I was home this Christmas. He was my next-door neighbour from when I was just two years old. He was always interested in my life and enthusiastic to talk when we swapped the footballs I kicked into his garden for the golf balls he hit into ours. At first we would talk about playing on the wing in football and later about my studies in Physics. At Christmas, he thoughtfully picked out a book that he felt I would enjoy and that would match my current interests. Home will feel different now that he is no longer there. May he rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Alan, he took a great interest in Ashgrove and its residents. A man of culture, he always had great quotes from books or recent trips he had made to town. Sorry also but I can't make it to either the removal or to the church.
