I only learned of this today. Deepest sympathy to you all. Alan was a very dear friend and we started in the job around the same time. I will miss him. And I will pray for you and he will be in my prayers. There is one new star in heaven.

My memories of Alan are centered back in the day around my trips home to Ireland from America. Alan had an intensity about him, quick witted, and smiling eyes. Alan, I recall liked music and loved to dance.

Alan struck me as the person who valued friendships in the way he interacted with people. Maybe, Alan never knew a stranger as he had an ease about him when it came to conversation.

When Alan met Miriam, she was the center of Alan’s universe, and I still recall the news of the happy couple becoming parents.

My deepest condolences to Miriam, their daughter, immediate family, and friends. Alan, your light will continue to shine through all the beautiful memories you left behind. RIP
