I had the good fortune to attend St Andrews College in the same class of 1962 as Alan . He was a great classmate and liked by everyone . I have met Alan many times during the years since at re-unions and on his visits to kilkenny/thomastown etc . He will be missed very much at our next class reunion in 2027. May he rest in peace.

Deepest condolences to all of Alan’s family and friends from all of us at Greystones bowling club.
It was with great sadness that we learned of Alan’s passing. He was a great friend and a cherished clubman. He was a really wonderful person and those of us who traveled with him to Tenerife on the bowling trips got to know him well as a dapper and life loving person. He was great company over a glass of Merlot and got great joy out of the club in his later years.

Alan and Phyl came to live here as his late brother-in-law lived here for many years, hosting many a good party which is where we first met Alan and his beloved Phyl.
