Andrea and Lisa.
So sad and shocked to hear of the untimely passing of Alan.
My heartfelt sympathy to you both on your huge loss.
May Alan rest in peace.
Lisa and Andrea,
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your lovely husband and dad.
He was always so lovely to chat to when he dropped Andrea and so proud of you Andrea.
Thinking of you both.
Very sorry to hear of Alan's passing. Being at school in Marino and Ard Scoil with Alan, I've great memories of his starring role playing Fagan in the Scoil Mhuire annual concert 'Oliver', a great talent. Thoughts and prayers with his family and friends.
I'm so sad to hear of Alans passing.

Lisa and Andrea... My deepest condolences to you both. Alan truly was one of a kind. An incredible human
Lisa/Andrea, my deepest condolences to both of you during this difficult time. I am very shocked and saddened on hearing the news of Alan's passing.

I first met Alan through work where I was an auditor in a company that he worked with and his larger than life personality shone through and we stayed in contact long after that and went to a few Frames gigs together. One of life's true gentlemen. He'll be sorely missed.
Sincere condolences to Lisa and all of Alans family. I worked with both Lisa and Alan many years ago in Digital, Park House and I'm very saddened to hear of his passing.

May he rest in peace.
I am very shocked and saddened by the news of Alan's passing.

Alan bounced into our lives during those all important formative teenage years, and into our early 20's, through the Grove, friendship groups, house parties and gigs, including the first ever Oasis gig in Dublin in the early 90's. He was an amazing and close friend during those years and there is huge regret now at losing touch as our lives naturally went in different directions and countries. It is hard to accept that there is no chance to reconnect and catch up on old times.

My deepest condolences to Alan's family and close friends Brian and Paul. Wishing you all strength and comfort to support you through this.
So shocked to hear this news. I had the pleasure of knowing Alan in the early 2000s but hadn’t seen him in a while. Alan was an enigmatic soul. Part time genius, part time musician, full time husband. Every room was better for his wit. May he rest in peace. Sincere condolences to Lisa, his family and friends.
I am absolutely heartbroken reading about Alan's passing. I remember him on our Oracle cycle to Galway and on all of the Sunday rides around Dublin, we always had so much fun. He was a special person with a very big heart. Sending much love to his family, he will be missed!
Alan- i will miss you, your energy and your can do- must-will do mentality. I am proud to have worked with you. Whenever we had a meeting- call- video, you always managed to make me smile 🙏
Alan got me a job at Baltimore, then he got me a better job. And when that job didn't work out, he got me an even better job - even though he didn't have to. That was the mark of him - just so caring and invested in people. And so much fun at every stage. It was a real gift to me and it sounds like he did similar for countless people over the years. What a legacy. Thanks, Alan.
My sincere condolences to you Lisa & Andrea on the untimely passing of your beloved Alan. I only met Alan once but still remember our conversation about his watch collection. I hope you can find strength and comfort in the many messages of how fondly people remember Alan. May he rest in peace.
My condolences to Alan's family and close friends. We worked together in Baltimore Technologies where he was such an influential people person. Alan always filled the room with positive energy, never a dull moment and he could speak at 200 Miles an hour! Alan and I kept in touch over the years, and whenever we spoke it felt like we only stopped working together the day before. He will be missed.
Deeply saddened to hear of Alan's passing. Sincerest sympathies to Lisa, Andrea and all the family.
Alan will be sorely missed, what a character, larger than life, will miss the bants and his weekly updates on his treatment. He fought a brave fight.

"They think it's all over, it is now"
Your memory will live on.

Lisa, have just come across this notice. So sorry to hear the very sad news that Alan has passed away. It’s been such a long time since we’ve been in touch Lisa, but sending you and your family lots of love at this surreal and difficult time. May Alan rest in peace xxx
As Giovanna says, words are lost but memories are not. So sad to hear that Alan has passed. Many memories of such an enthusiastic, energetic, caring, funny and loving man. We met through the Oracle Digital set up. His passion for inspiring and supporting the younger generation was never ending. Hosting all sorts of visitors like the one we ran for boys from my old school, RBAI, has inspired them to find their careers. His support for Gen O and its predecessors has done the same for many. His pride in what he set up in programmes and in the offices led to productive, safe and enjoyable environments. His love of gadgets and toys was always a great source of our chats! We shared notes on touring plans for Disney trips with the family. We kept in contact since I left Oracle and remained helpful with no expectation of anything in return.
We kept chatting through his illness as he supported me through my wife’s cancer journey some years ago. So sorry he didn’t win the battle. I know he will be so sorely missed as a son, husband and father and the world is a lesser place now without his presence.
My deepest condolences to Lisa, Andrea, Alan's wider family and all who knew him - such a loss. Alan's sense of fun was wonderful and he was an absolute gentleman. May Alan rest in peace
To Lisa, Andrea and Alans family. The service on Saturday was amazing and a fitting tribute to the great character Alan was. I never heard so much laughter at a service before. I have so many fond memories of Alan from our Digital days. He was such a fun person, always with that cheery smile and witty banter. Those late nights that Lisa and Alan spent working on the department newsletter did not go unnoticed. You were made for each other and it was clear to see how much you enjoyed each others company. Alan will be a huge loss to those he leaves behind. But he will be fondly remembered by all who had to privilege to know him. Ar dheis De go raibh a h'anam dilis.
To Lisa, Andrea and the Lawless Family - I was so sorry to hear of Alan's very untimely passing.
I had the good fortune and privilege to meet Alan through Brian many, many years ago and have such happy memories of countless nights out spent solving the problems of the world and the music industry.
Alan was warm, kind and mischievous with a genuine interest in everyone he met.
It's clear from the messages here that Alan touched many people and is remembered with love by all.
Thinking of you all.
I was privileged to know Alan. Regardless of your career success at the end of the day in any big corporation you are a number on a desk, Alan was someone who made you feel more than just a number. He was a brave, contagious and an innovative rule breaker who lit up any room he was in and had a profound impact on so many people. I’m proud to have known him.
I have just heard about Alan Passing away and feel devastated, I exchanged a few messages with him a few month ago to tell him I was thinking of him. What a terrible loss, I will miss his humor and long high tech discussions in his office but most importantly his laugh. all my thought for his family and any one who knew him, he will be sorely missed
I will always remember Alan with great fondness and respect. We talked for hours about Lego, watches and occasionally work. Than you Alan for your support and encouragement over the years and I hope they have video games in heaven.
The service was beautiful. Fair play to Alan’s family and friends for their strength, humour and poise. You did him proud. The office will be way too quiet, way less fun, and way too serious without Alan. We will miss him in so many ways, and always be grateful for everything he has done. Lisa was right, he will stay with us forever.
My deepest condolences to the familly.

Alan will be deeply missed!
The ceremony this morning was "so Alan". It was a beautiful gathering and reflection of a life that clearly brought so much light to everyone, not just my own in Oracle.

The phrase "open door policy" sums up Alan for me and that's exactly what it was in all the many Oracle blocks that we worked in. Standing upright at his desk, the door was always open, his office full of welcome energy and a natural infectious charisma that you just wanted to be around. Whether it was career advice, sales advice, musical trivia or general ideation of "what could be", there was always time for anyone that swung by and swing by is what I did, on many many occasion during my stint in Oracle.

I went to Alan with an idea to run a charity Christmas Talent show back in 2015 and his response was - "Yes", "how much do you need from me?" "Can I be MC?" and I have the fondest memories of the two of us on stage belting out "Hey Jude" (very poorly) to a merry mulled wine-filled packed house in Block I. Those were the good aul Oracle days.

It's these extra curricular experiences that make work memories that last forever, long after you've parted ways with an employer. That's what culture is and Alan was the Culture King.

Thanks for being a legend Al, you've left us on this earth far too soon.
It deeply saddened me when I heard about the loss of Alan.
He was wonderful and he had that special gift making everyone happy, cheered up and to feel supported. Alan's smile and positive spirit will never be forgotten.

My deepest condolences to Alan's family and loved ones.
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Alan, a great colleague from Oracle. His vibrant energy and unwavering positivity left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. My heartfelt condolences Lawless family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the cherished memories of his warmth and spirit.
Sincere condolences to Alan’s family and loved ones. Remembering his charming personality from our days at Oracle, he made everyone feel valued and respected. What a great legacy! Rest in peace, Alan.
I was so sorry to hear of Alan's passing.

He was always a positive and enthusiastic person and an absolute pleasure to work with, never failed to help people.

One in a million.
My deepest sympathies to Lisa, Andrea and Alan’s extended family, who he loved and cherished dearly

Today there is a loss in the world which will be impossible to fill. Alan was truly one of a kind - funny (hilarious!), witty, kind, smart, creative and always available to offer counsel and support - and also one to bring the real talk when it was needed! I have the fondest memories of white-boarding crazy ideas and making big things come to life in your office, where work was fun and it was fun to work. I’m going to miss you my friend. It was a true honour ♥️
Condolences to Lisa and all the family. There are many happy memories of those days in the basement of Digital in Park House. We all worked with Hundreds of people throughout our careers, most of them we forget. But Alan is the type of person we don't forget. Happy, funny and always smiling, he brought smiles and happiness to those around him. I have no doubt he will bring fun and happiness to the next place he goes.
Dear Jean, I was so sorry to learn of Alan's death, taken far too soon. Sending condolences to you and all your family. May he rest in peace. Xxx
Jean, so sorry to hear of the passing of your Brother. Sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.
Caroline
My sincerest condolences to Alan’s family!
Alan was a true rare treasure that just instinctively knew how to get people laughing, talking and inspired.
We would spend many a morning in his office, talking Lego, movies, family, life and all things comics and I always left with a smile and positive attitude- thus was the impact Alan could leave with anyone he engaged with.
Heaven is being entertained like never before since he walked thru the pearly gates.
RIP Alan, memories last a lifetime and they will be treasured forever. It was a pleasure working with you ✨
My deepest sympathies to all of Allan’s family. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I had the privilege of being a school friend of Allan’s. A tremendous guy to be around and I have very fond memories of my school days with him.

May he rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to all Alan’s family. I worked with Alan at Baltimore and he was such a wonderful colleague, always so bright and funny and energetic, he made everyone around him feel great. Dear Bernie, Jean & Derek and the Lawless family, I was so sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Alan. Sending deepest condolences to Lisa and Andrea on the loss of your beloved husband and Dad. The Service of Celebration for Alan’s life was a beautiful and fitting tribute to someone who had a huge impact on the lives of many, and has left a lasting legacy. May Alan RIP.
Saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Alan who I remember as a very kind, funny and energetic colleague.
Heartfelt condolences to Alan’s entire family.
My deepest condolences on Alan's passing. Seeing the Atari game as one of the mementos in the service reminded me of the help my wise old (to me) cousin Alan gave me as a clueless kid setting up an Atari 800 XL in the 1980s. You couldn't google back then, you asked Alan. He was one of a kind.
I was sorry to hear of Alan's passing. A really nice, supremely talented guy. I have many fond memories of gigs and tight squeezes into his mini.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Take care

Sending my deepest condolences to Lisa, Andrea, and all of Alan’s family. He was a wonderful colleague at Oracle and always knew how to make people laugh. He had a true passion for life. Funny, smart, grounded, full of passions and always finding the bright side in things. I could just spend a few mins in his office and he would cheer me up right away. We could speak about work, life, watches (one of his great passions), running, north side / south side, kids…You’ll be deeply missed Alan. It’s been an honor to cross your path. Rest in peace, Carlo
The words are lost but the memories are flowing and are many, in fact there was no day where Alan was not surprising us with one of his crazy passion, with his insane ability to talk about everything enjoying at best whatever he was doing contagiously. His incredible sense of humor, joy, lightness, courage and braveness. He was always helping everyone without even realizing the incredible impact he was having on eryone’s life. I’m blessed to have met you in my life Alan, Impossible to count everything you have done for me and I’m immensely grateful to you. Grazie! I will miss you, we all miss you! and I send a big warm hug to Lisa, Andrea and your mum.

So sad, you are in our thoughts
Sending my deepest sympathies to Lisa, Andrea and all of Alan's family and friends.

Alan could light up any room and bring a laugh to any crowd. The King of "we'll ask for forgiveness " and "go big or go home" Alan always brought something special to whatever he did. Whether it was inspiring university groups who visited Oracle, or entertaining colleagues with his outfit changes, he always had the audience in the palm of his hand.

A true showman and gent, he will be truely missed. Alan, it was a pleasure xxx
Alan was a gem that touched so many with his work ethic but mostly his communication as a colleague who added a bit of humour to the workday. He was one of a kind and will be missed at Oracle. Rest in peace Alan.
I became good pals with Alan in the 90s when I heard his band playing Beastie boy’s Sabotage from his garage and I wanted to know that cool guy. He taught me so much about cool music , art and films and we had so many laughs over those years . I also caught his ledgendary performance of Fagan in the school mhuire 6th class concert of OLIVER! I’m honoured to be the one of probably hundreds of people whose lives Alan has touched and added sparkle.
Alan Lawless - a truly exceptional human! How one man could be so heavily laden with positive attributes and not be an egotistical wazzard has astounded me since our paths first crossed in the 90s. His ability to bring joy, love, laughter, music & wisdom to the World never, ever seemed to diminish.

On sharing the saddest news of Alans passing with a fellow ex-Digital employee, I was reminded (thank you xx) of a Bram Stoker quote, which seems most fitting:

“There are darknesses in life and there are lights; you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.”

Our deepest, heartfelt condolences are with his equally exceptional wife Lisa, with Andrea, Bernie and all that have been blessed to know him.

With Love and so much gratitude for the laughter lines/joy-wrinkles that Alan gave us all…
An incredibly lovely guy who saw the good in everyone and went about his day with a smile on his face. Alan was unbelievably gracious, kind and now we know he also was incredibly brave. The office will not be the same again and that's for sure. Alan will be sorely missed by those of us who knew him in Oracle.
My Heartfelt Condolences to his family and friends.
Rest easy Alan.
Alan was an amazing guy... always so positive and could communicate to all in a way that always excited! and he so cared about people to. My heartfelt condolences to all his very many friends and to all in the family. My thoughts are with you all.
It is always the special people we will miss the most! Alan was always driven, knowledgeable and friendly to work with.
I wish family, friends and acquaintances a lot of strength with this loss.
Our deepest sympathies to Lisa, Andrea, Bernie, Jean and Derek on the untimely passing of Alan. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.

To Derek and family. Sorry for your loss. Thinking of you at this sad time.
My heartfelt condolences to Lisa, Andrea and all of Alan's family & friends on the tragic news of his passing. It's hard to even fathom a place without Alan's energy and positivity. Alan was an absolute force of nature, a creative mind with a wicked sense of humour to boot. I was lucky to report to Alan over my career at Oracle. His guidance and mentorship impacted me hugely. He always brought fun, & laughter wherever he went, and taught me not to take things (or myself) too seriously. What a legacy you have left, Alan. It was a privilege to cross paths with you. Rest in Peace.
My deepest condolences to the family!
