I'm genuinely so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. He brought joy and laughter to many people, myself included. He will be dearly missed.

My only connection was through the Facebook page he worked on in the videos with all his mates. They brought a fantastic and original humour to the motoring pages for those that knew this incredible team Alan was involved with. A Father Ted style of motoring genius and story telling that was so bonkers, it had us all wanting more. Rest in Peace, may the approach to heaven be noisy and sideways with a little bit of left foot braking :-(

When I met Alan 20 years ago at work, he wanted to change the cv joints in a disastrous Passat I had (which he did twice)... I knew back then the good egg he was.

Alan, you're already so missed at work and the hilarious debates we had outside of work too. You were wickedly funny, as much as you were kind and helpful to anyone.

My fullest condolences and sympathy to Alan's parents, John and Catherine and not least Sandra and Adrian. Too good for this world.
