I was so very saddened to hear of the passing of Alan.
As Principal in PCH, I had the privilege of knowing Alan as a student, and he is one I have never forgotten. A beautiful, mannerly young lad, always up for a chat and always so easy to talk to. He had a warmth and ease about him that drew people in, and a quiet kindness that really stood out.
I can still picture him around the school, stopping for a word, never passing without that small bit of connection. He left his mark in a lasting way.
It is so hard to understand a loss like this, especially for someone so young and with so much ahead of him.
My sincere sympathy to Frank and Nora, and to Darragh, Shauna and Abbey, and to all who knew and loved him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will remember him with great fondness.
