We extend to Diane and the Monaghan family our most heartfelt condolences. We are thinking about you during this difficult time and send our deepest sympathies.
Tony Cleary introduced me to Alan as ‘the best painter and decorator around’ when I first arrived in Baldoyle in 2013. Since then Alan has done various jobs for me and coincidentally we spoke on the Tuesday about him doing a wallpapering job for me. Alan was more interested in talking about his golf, his fiancé but selflessly asked me all about my daughter. This was typical of Alan which was to be interested in whomever he was speaking to.

I express my deep condolences to his fiancé, his family and many friends. Though I didn’t know him well, you can be so proud of what an upstanding person he was. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
We were so deeply saddened upon hearing the news of Alan’s untimely passing. Always a smile nothing too much trouble one of life’s good guys.

Alan, you have left a void in Mews neighbourhood that will be felt for ever. Sincere condolences to your soul mate Diane and your entire family. We were chatting at the parking lot a couple of days ago about the 1920s style bikes display you had during your 50th and laughing, little did we know it was the last laugh of many we had had before. You lived a short but well fulfilled life . RIP Forever in our hearts.

Alan you will be sadly missed. You were an amazing chap, always in good form and made everyone laugh. I never seen you in bad form. I used to love the spontaneous costume changes. Will miss you popping over the hedge and in the gate at Diane and Roni’s, with a random concoction you would have made for us. Times we will cherish. Keep watching over Diane and your kitty cat babies. You were just the ideal couple.

I know you adored Diane, your Mam and all your brothers and sisters. Give them the strength to get through the coming days. Diane, Ann, Brian, Shane, Ruairí, Conor, Sínéad and Lorraine I’m thinking of you all.

He was taken too young, but his spirit will live on through you all. May his gentle soul rest in peace. God bless,
