I had the pleasure of working with Alan many years ago and watching him play football like the pro he was while I sat on the bench looking on followed by a jar to discuss the game. Alan was one of life's true gentlemen. May he rest in peace.

Im so very sorry to have heard of the passing of Alan. I played with him for a year or 2 when we were the Garda club and I used to come across him in Cloverhill District Court. What a gent. I don’t know where to begin when describing Alan. An utter gentleman, a joker, helpful beyond any expectations and a person who made it impossible to start the day in a bad mood.
I had the pleasure of Alan’s morning greeting and company for many years in cloverhill and he was so well regarded by all who met him there. He was so proud of his son and his achievements.
May you rest in peace Al…. You will be missed terribly.

It was with genuine sadness that I learned of Alan’s untimely passing. He was an exceptional footballer and tremendous teammate. Alan also had a wonderful personality, great fun, a bit of divilment, great company and a wonderful sense of humour.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Alan's passing. My sincere sympathy to Christopher, to his parents, to Brian, Della and all his family and many many friends.
I worked for many years with Alan in Cloverhill and as we both lived in Kilcock, we shared many a fun car journey to and from work. He was always so obliging and helpful. He was so proud of Christopher, his eyes would light up at the very mention of his name.
Heaven has gained another Angel.
