Uncle Alan, I still can’t believe you’re gone, we are all going to miss your sharp wit and friendly disposition. You always had time for everyone and were kind to everyone you meet. Anyone you talked to always left your company with a smile on their face and a lighter more positive feeling.
I will always remember as a child you chasing me around the factory with a lobster, I was petrified of them… but then he would tie a bit of twine around it like a lead, and let me walk the lobster around the yard like a dog, this would cheer me up and we would be laughing hysterically at it.
Stories like these I think just sums up the man and his personality, he would always make me laugh and cheer me up.
You will be greatly missed Uncle Alan.

I am so very sorry to hear of Alans passing. He was an absolute gentleman, made sure we got home safe in his taxi, always a word and a laugh to be shared when i met him out and about, thinking of Ann, Des, Eoin, his Mum and all who loved and knew him. Rest In Peace Alan.
