I was so sad to hear the news about Alan. I worked alongside him for about 5 years and we had many a laugh together. A very friendly and approachable fella and never short of a funny quip. Al you will be sorely missed and so very fondly remembered. One of life's good guys. My heartfelt condolences to all of Alan's family and friends. Rest easy my friend.

Shocked and saddened to hear this news. Worked with Alan for a number of years in the early days of CarsIreland.ie, great times and great crack. He was a true gent and a very genuine guy. Huge loss, my sincere condolences to the Stanley family.

Alan, you will be sorely sorely missed, with lots of great memories, mostly of us in stitches laughing while looking back at a deadpan grin on your face. Or with closed eyes blasting out a ballad. You always brought such soul and energy into the spaces you were in.

Our thoughts and love go out to Kevin, Mary, the Stanley family and tribe, extended family in Ireland and the UK. And all of his best mates all around the world, but particularly David for walking so many miles with Alan.

Was so saddened to hear of Alan's passing. Fond memories from our St. Marys days a talented soccer player with Boyne Rovers underage and GAA with St.Pats. Played with and against Alan many times. Always remember him being a joker and all around just good fun to be around. One of the Julianstown lads who were a super tight bunch and always good craic to be around. A sad time for the parish. I'm really devastated to hear of Alan's passing. We shared so much time playing music together and he was such a talented songwriter. His sharp wit and infectious instinct for the craic meant that no gathering was complete without him. He was a true gentleman and an artist. Rest in peace Lally and we'll see each other again in the next life.
