Though we had not met for many years, I am shocked and sad to hear of Albert's death. He was a force of nature and a free spirit and will be fondly remembered.

Siobhan, Andrew & Stephen, both Des & I were deeply saddened to hear of Albert's passing. Albert was a true friend & gentleman who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Albert's passing. Albert arrived in Midlands Radio 3 (as it was then known) shortly after I had moved on. I met him at a number of industry events in subsequent years and always enjoyed his company. During our ten years together on the Board of Learning Waves I saw first hand the wonderful characteristics of Albert's personality. His ability to lead, a man of many great ideas and that big smile that so many people have recalled over the past few days. To Albert's wife and family I extend my sincere condolences on his passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May the light of Heaven shine brightly on Albert's soul.

It was so nice on Monday night to meet some of Albert's family and friends that I haven't seen in many years, yet it seemed like yesterday.

I watched with admiration and respect the huge impact he made in his chosen career. Growing up with Albert, his strength of character was a force of nature forever balancing heart and head.
