I only knew Albert for a very short time but he and Rene were very interested in my new life in Ghana. I had the privilege of learning a bit about horology from him at Mark's wedding and his smile and calming demeanour is something I'll never forget.

I cannot imagine visiting Co. Sligo one day in the future , if God wills, and not finding you there.
I remember you working away in that lovely greenhouse and garden, your pride and joy.I also remember you working in your jewellery shop in Sligo, attending to customers.
Albert, you will be sorely missed.

Albert was known to my family as the dearly loved and inspirational father to my late brother-in-law Mark. My dearest memory of him is from Mark's funeral earlier this year... at the lunch for family & friends meal after the service, I approached Albert and offered my hand, and said 'I'm sorry.' He warmly embraced me for a moment, close and tight, and no further words needed to be said. He will always be remembered fondly, by our families, my sister Mawusi and niece Yayra, and myself. Thank you Albert for your life and legacy.
