I have just heard about Allesandros passing. I am so very sorry to hear this. He was such a lovely, friendly man and I loved his little shop when it was open in Ballinrobe. My deepest condolences to his lovely family.

I will miss my brother-in-law Alessandro so much. Personal and completely independent choices have pushed us in different years towards the northern seas. Alessandro, Rossana and their fantastic children in magical Ireland, Stefano and I in busy “cool” Britannia. We crossed the Irish Sea to visit them less than we wanted but each time it was beautiful…..we will continue to do so whenever we can. Dear Alessandro I know you will be there waiting for us ❤️

I received this news with the deepest sadness. I worked with Alessandro as a member of the sommelier team and he and I bonded over our love of Italy. He proved to be a delightful friend as well as fine workmate and I looked very much forward to seeing him the next time I was in Cong.
Alessandro was fiercely proud of his family and his homeland. His love for them both was evident.
I will always cherish the memory of his warm greetings whenever our paths crossed.
