RIP Alex, sincere condolences to his sister, extended family, friends, and work colleagues.
Truly saddened to hear of Alex’s passing. I remember him from school and, even at a young age, what an individual and musical driving force he was. Though he was a year or two below us, he always stood out — cooler beyond his years.
Although we lost touch after our late teens, I remember at a school resource area buskathon he once jokingly criticised how I incorrectly played Grace by Jeff Buckley — and he was absolutely right. That’s actually how we first became acquainted. Even then, he had a real ear and drive for music.
I also remember his touching acoustic solo performance of Radiohead's "Exit Music..." at our school’s (Salesian College) annual Mass, supporting his band Lambda in Temple Bar in the early 2000s, and hanging out as teens, jamming and trying to replicate a Turn song with him on drums. He was a deep, multi-talented, innovative and creative individual.
He was clearly passionate and talented, even back then. I’ll always remember his courage, musicality and calm nature. Rest easy friend. Sincere condolences to his family and friends at this time.

My heart is with Alex's family, especially Eva and Dolly. I knew Alex from when I was teenager, and it was clear from the moment we met that he was so talented, an independent thinker who was unbelievably creative. A beautiful soul gone far too soon, but held in our hearts forever.
So much love from me, Oisín, and our girls, Ileana & Isobel.

Will miss Alex immensely, he was alway up fo a chat. We passed each other many times over the past ten years. He was always kind and generous. A huge loose an will be deeply missed.
So very sorry to hear this news. My sincere condolences to all of Alex’s family, friends and relatives. I have some incredible memories of working alongside Alex and listening to the many funny stories he would tell. Fond memories of hearing him and the band perform too. A magnificently talented man and genuinely great human being. Rest in peace.
