Our sympathies to Nollaig, Ken, Sarah, Ciara, Cathal and the extended family on Max's passing. May his soul rest in peace. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
I was heartbroken to hear of the recent death of Max after his bout of illness over the last few months while in hospital. The news came as quite a surprising shock when I heard it.

I offer my most sincere condolences to Nollaig, Kenneth, Michael, Meral and the extended Cleary family upon his untimely passing. I didn’t get a chance to offer my sympathies to more members of the family at the funeral but I hope to do so in the near future.

Max and I loved conversing about his diverse musical tastes and interest in Oriental philosophy scriptures and beliefs whenever we had the opportunity to do so at leisure. Max was well liked and appreciated by all who came across him in Burton Hall and Cluain Ard as well.

I hope that Max now finds eternal peace after his periods of suffering up in Heaven. I was delighted that Michael and Meral were able to join us by video link from Australia and I sincerely thank Father Hugh Gillan for a moving and thought provoking funeral also.
