It was sad news to learn that Alex had passed from this life. Every year for many years he made the Church gate collection at Drumcor on our behalf, for Crumlin Childrens Hospital. He was always glad to help and later in the week i would have the chat and the cup of tea with he and Sylvia. I was privileged to have known them and to have heard their great life story. Our deepest sympathy to the Moran family, May Alex and Sylvia forever together, rest in peace.

I have very fond memories from our visits to Farnadolly back in the 80s. I remember Alex as always kind, engaging and active, busy with the projects around the home; his Christmas swims with the Cavan Icebreakers; and his support for the local community. He was a true gentleman, devoted to his family and was kind and generous to us all.
