John, Mara and Mandy, my deepest condolences to you all. I have not seen Alex for a many number of years but have lovely memories of when we would meet on a Saturday in Dunphy's with Aggie and himself. Alex was a true gentleman even at the bridge table. He was a stickler for doing things correctly and not shy about telling you. We certainly missed him when he stopped playing bridge in Dun Laoghaire.
He had a great sense of humour. We had many a happy Hogmanay celebration with them both
