I am very sad to hear that Alfie has passed, RIP. I cannot be there with you today to send him home, but am with you in spirit. My heartfelt condolences to Trisha and John and all the family as I know he will be very much missed and how loved he was. What a lovely man. My sisters have said what a big presence Alfie was in the Mullen family over the years and we loved him dearly too. Johnny and Alfie were a great team and had a really special friendship. When Daddy died Alfie continue to keep a watchful eye on the Mullen girls for him, and was especially kind to “Mrs Mullen”. He regularly dropped by to see her, even when she was in the nursing home, even when he was not so well himself. He was a larger than life character with a heart of gold and as everyone has said a true gentleman. The world was a better place with Alfie around and we will all miss him.
I know there are many people waiting to welcome you to your new home in heaven, Alfie, and that you will continue to look after all those you love. Thank you for being part of our lives.
