Alice will long be remembered as a great active, fun, tenacious and formidable woman who was a driving force behind many community groups and initiatives. Part of a generation of residents who worked hard and strove to make Portobello and St Kevin's the great place to live in that it still is today. That's a great legacy.

Alice was a great neighbour. Always with a smile on her face. We had such fun with her at a great trip to the opera in Verona 2004. Many fond memories. Heartfelt condolences to you Fie, Dave, Rebecca and Russell. The end of an era.
Alice was a real "trouper", always ready for a chat or some celebration. Her love for company was legend, and I do hope she is now finding those things with Dinnie again!

I am very sorry to hear of Alice's passing. Alice and her late husband, Dinnie, were neighbours of our family on Lombard Street West for over half a century. I always enjoyed Alice's bubbly personality during our many chats. May Alice be re-united with Dinnie and may she rest in peace. My brothers, Ron and Marty Boyle also send their condolences.
